Dr.
Chinh Bach, Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Bach has over 25 years experience in the pharmaceutical
and biotech industry. He was with Syntex, Palo Alto
for 14 years. Dr. Bach directed the DNA Synthesis,
Sequencing and Molecular Biology lab before the Swiss
pharmaceutical company, Roche, acquired Syntex. Chinh
continued with Roche, Palo Alto for 9 more years before
co-founding Consumer Genetics in 2006. Dr. Bach received
his Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Ulm
in Germany. He has a strong vision for emerging consumer
genetic testing products, which include lifestyle,
pharmacogenetics and cancer related disease management.

Preising PhD, Chief Operating Officer
Bo has over 15 years experience establishing and growing
companies in the high-tech and medical device industries.
His past experience includes Vice President at Accuray
Inc., CTO & SVP of Engineering for the WorkCard
Company; CTO and VP of Sales and Marketing for OUR
Scientific International; VP of New Business Development
(R&D) for LifeChart Inc.; and Director of Life
Sciences for DataSweep Inc.. Bo also managed the customer
research program at Varian Medical Systems. He received
his Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in biomedical engineering
at UC Davis, specializing in surgical robotics and
vision systems; and his B.S. degree in biomedical
engineering from UC San Diego.

Preston Al Baeker, PhD, Director
of Pharmacogenetics
Dr. Baecker is a veteran of 25 years
in the pharmaceutical industry. Before joining Consumer
Genetics Inc as Director of Pharmacogenetics, Dr.
Baecker was instrumental in providing new, high-throughput
procedures to aid in identification of IND candidates
for Arete Therapeutics, a startup developing new treatments
for hypertension. Prior to Arete, Dr. Baecker directed
the identification and confirmation of novel drug
targets for the Genitourinary Therapeutic Area (GU-TA)
and headed a program in the CNS therapeutic area of
the neurobiology business for Roche Palo Alto. Dr.
Baecker has published more than 25-peer reviewed publications
and is the co-inventor of numerous patents relating
to protein synthesis.

Christina Mork, PhD, Laboratory Director
At Consumer Genetics, Dr. Christina Mork has been
an instrumental part in the development of the Pink
or Blue Early Gender Test. She refined the process
for the most sophisticated detection of Y chromosomal
fetal DNA in the maternal blood. Currently, she leads
the development of new genetic tests to inform people
desiring to improve their lifestyle.
Dr. Mork graduated from University of Washington
with a B.S. degree in Biochemistry and joined the
Cell and Molecular Biology Program at Boston University,
where she completed a Ph.D. in microbiology. Her previous
work includes studies in medical genetics, virology,
and cancer cell biology.

Terry
Carmichael, MS, VP - Marketing & Sales
Terry holds a Masters Degree in Molecular Medicine
and Genetics from Wayne State University School of
Medicine. Soon after completing his degree, Terry
worked as a Technical Sales Specialist for QIAGEN,
and moved on to work as a Product Manager for Bio-Rad
Laboratories. In 1997, Terry founded the GeneTree
DNA Testing Center, the first company to provide full-service,
direct-to-consumer genetic testing. GeneTree was sold
to Sorenson Genomics in 2001. For 6 years Terry was
VP of Marketing & Sales for direct-to-consumer
product lines at Sorenson Genomics, a high-throughput
DNA sequencing and genotyping laboratory specializing
in the development and commercialization of DNA testing
services. While working for Sorenson Genomics, in
2007 Terry was credited with placing the first human
DNA testing product, a Home DNA Paternity Test Collection
Kit, on the shelf in two major retail drug stores,
Rite Aid and Meijer. In 2003, Terry founded the Biotech
Learning Institute, the first company to distribute
single user eLearning licenses over the internet.
The Biotech Learning Institute merged its ecommerce
activities with GeneEd in 2006. Terry is currently
working with Consumer Genetics to manage its brands,
create a stronger web presence, and position the Pink
or Blue Early Gender Test in the retail market. |

Anna Vitebsky, BA, MA, Product
Manager, Pharmacogenetics
Anna Vitebsky holds a BA degree in Biological Sciences
from Cornell University, and an MA in Genetics and
Development from Columbia University. She has 6 years
of hands-on laboratory experience in a variety of
disciplines such as molecular biology, cytogenetics,
cancer genetics, and developmental biology. Before
joining Consumer Genetics, Inc. as Associate Scientist
she worked as a Clinical Trials Administrator for
a startup medical device company, ClearCount Medical
Solutions.

Michelle Hou, BS, MS, Quality Assurance Manager
Michelle Hou studied Biomedical Science in 2001 and
obtained a BS in Medicine from Peking University,
Beijing, in 2006. During this time she received a
three year Basic Medicine Scholarship at Peking University.
She obtained a Fellowship to attend University of
Michigan, Ann Arbor where she received her MS in Human
Genetics in 2007. Her research interests include human
genetics, genomics and pharmacogenomics. Specifically,
she is interested in identification of genes involved
in behavior and neurological and psychiatric disorders.

Cherylle Wilson, BS, MS, Product
Manager, Forensic Division
Cherylle Wilson obtained a BS degree in Microbiology,
Immunology, and Molecular Genetics from the University
of California, Los Angeles, and an MS in Forensic
Toxicology from the University of Florida. She has
over 10 years of experience in the healthcare field
- ranging from the clinical, academic and administrative
aspect - locally and internationally. Institutions
in which she has worked at include UCSF, UC Berkeley,
UCLA, and Kaiser Permanente.
